Josephine was born on October 22, 1926, to Elise Werich Boos and Harry Boos in Fredericksburg Texas on a dairy farm where she and her family milked 40 heads of cow in the morning and did it again in the evening.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Floyd (Dinty) Moore, her brother Vernon Schmidt, and is survived by two sons, Kerry Moore and wife Jan, and Daryl Moore, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
