Anne Cowart Dirlam, 88, of Blanco passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at her home in Blanco, Texas. Anne was born on Sept. 24, 1930 in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Dirlam, her parents, Ruth and Len Cowart, her sister Mary and brothers Gilbert and Curt. Anne is survived by her two sons John Paul and Joel, her sister June, Ray’s daughters Kathleen and husband John, Linda and husband Rodger, Nanci and husband Phil and their three children as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Anne was with UT for 20 years before retiring to live the good life in Blanco. If you’re a lucky one, you own one of the many Raggedy Ann dolls she lovingly made. She was an avid reader and loved being involved with the First Baptist Church of Blanco, the women’s group at the First Baptist Church of Dripping Springs, and she and Ray loved their church family at Bannockburn in Austin and then Dripping Springs.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Kindred Hospice.
A graveside service was conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Blanco Historic Cemetery in Blanco under the direction of Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco.
