Josephine Kneese Lux
(1926-2019)

Josephine Kneese Lux, 92, of Kendalia, Texas passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019, at Kirkwood Manor Nursing Home in New Braunfels, Texas with her loving family at her side.

Josephine was born on October 22, 1926, to Elise Werich Boos and Harry Boos in Fredericksburg Texas on a dairy farm where she and her family milked 40 heads of cow in the morning and did it again in the evening. She loved to cook, sew and was known for her yeast baking; she loved to can food and grew her own vegetables for her family. Josephine was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg and worked at the Mission Valley Mills for many years. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she loved to cook for and take care of. She loved cooking for guests who would visit the ranch, which included two Dallas Cowboys players and other famous people through the years.

Survivors include her children, Johnny Kneese of Kendalia, Nancy Kneese of Blanco; Richard Kneese and his wife Donna of Blanco, and Peggy Kneese of Blanco; seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Clifton, Roger, Rory, Lance, Jennifer, and Braden; 12 great-grandchildren, Natasha, Vincent, GG, Madison, Kade, Caden, C.J., James, Clayton, Colton, Anne, Rose, Tucker and Jesse; brothers and sisters, Ruben, Gertrude, Raymond, Norma, Theodore, Harry, Jr. and Mildred.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifton Kneese and her second husband, Arnold Lux.

A visitation will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco. A Chapel service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Harper Cemetery in Harper, Texas.

Serving as Pallbearers will be James Boos, Larry Boos, Douglas Boos, Russell Boos, David Boos and Rory Kneese.
