Joe Wayne Smitherman was born on August 29, 1934. Joe left his earthly body and went peacefully in his sleep on August 30, 2019 at the age of 85. A man of few words, he was a valued educator and rancher with a strong work ethic whose first priority was always to care for his family. Born to Joseph and Hazel Smitherman in Henly, Texas.

Jane Callaham Bremer, 83 years old, passed away on September 1, 2019 in Blanco, Texas. Jane was born in Atlanta, Georgia to parents Elizabeth and Edward Callaham on April 29, 1936. After spending her high school years in Atlanta, Jane graduated from Auburn University in 1957. Soon after, she met and married Texas Aggie, Charles Bremer, a petroleum engineer with Shell Oil.

Angie Nell Smith, 78, of Parker, Texas passed away on August 16, 2019. Angie was born February 2, 1941, in Luling, Texas to Dennis and Beatrice Ellison. She grew up in Blanco, Texas and attended Blanco High School. On September 9, 1961, Angie married Dorsey Lee Smith. One of her favorite stories to tell was how she, a Baptist, married Dorsey Lee, of the Church of Christ, in a Methodist church with a service performed by a Lutheran minister.

Joe D. Riba, entered his heavenly home of eternal rest on August 12, 2019, surrounded by his family at his home in Blanco, Texas, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Joe D. was born on November 2, 1938, in Blanco, Texas to Mildred Olivia (Heckel) and Herman Joseph Riba. He attended school in Blanco and graduated from Blanco High School.
John Jackson “J.J.” Seewald, 15, of Blanco passed from this earth on Sunday, August 4, 2019. J.J. was born on June 30, 2004, in Austin, Texas to Gwynn Proske Seewald and John Eric Seewald. He attended Blanco High School where he had just completed his Freshman year. J.J. loved photography, Lego’s, playing video games, creating memes, doing YouTube videos, shopping at Target, Marvel movies, any movie that he saw with his family, and camping and walking through the park with his friends ...

Gloria Pearl Nance, 84, of Blanco passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg. Gloria was born on Christmas Eve in 1934 in Blanco to Pearl Etta Bagby West and Henry Hiram West. She was a wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly.
Ruby Lee Knoll Karen went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2019 at her home in Angleton, Texas. Ruby was born to Alvin and Tillie Knoll on May 20, 1942 in Blanco, Texas. Ruby was the fifth child of eight. The Knoll family resided in Blanco, Texas, where she graduated from Blanco High School in 1960. Ruby married Jimmy Handberry and had three children, Rhonda Hopper, Troy Handberry and Randall Handberry.
Michael Leigh Clark died on the morning of Wednesday July 31, 2019 in San Antonio. Michael was born in Houston, Texas on May 6, 1961 to John Leigh Clark, III and Muriel Stackhouse Clark. He is preceded in death by his father and his brother John Howard Clark. Michael is survived by his mother, his sisters Muriel “ReeRee” Clark Friedman (Jay), Laura Clark Weiss (Fritz), and Amy Clark Tomkins (Jeff), and his nieces and nephews who adored him. Bruce Charles Huguelet, 78, of Blanco, Texas passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019, at the Heart Hospital of Austin. Bruce was born on Oct. 6, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois to Margery (nee Sheibley) and Charles Huguelet. Bruce was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School, Roosevelt University and Northern Illinois University.

Alice J. Tyler, 80, of Spring Branch, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at PAM Specialty Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas. Alice was born on July 4, 1939, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Helen Baumgardt Dotson and Everitt Dotson. She was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Blanco and was a retired from Pool Electrical Products as a customer service representative for many years.
