Lonnie W. Humrichouse, 97, born Dec. 31, 1921 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019 at his home in Blanco.
Lonnie proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force from 1940 until 1945. He was a flight engineer on B-29 type aircraft. After his military service, Lonnie was employed in the wholesale drug business for 41 years until his retirement in 1987.

Harold Beverly Lord, age 99, passed away on Dec. 26,2019. Harold Lord was born on Nov. 7, 1920 in DeWitt County. He was the younger of two children of Beverly and Claudia Card Lord.

Loretta Carol Welch Webster (Granny), 79, of Osborne, KS, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019, at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita, KS. Loretta was born on September 2, 1940 in Dodge City, KS to Myron & Laura (Camp) Welch. Granny used up so much of her heart for everyone that it just couldn’t be fixed.
At the age of 94, A loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, our beloved Louise Haley (Fries) Pesek, left this earth for her heavenly home on Dec. 2, 2019.
Louise Haley was born Sept. 17, 1925, in Sandy, Texas to James August and Zora Etta (Dildine) Haley, one of seven children. Louise grew up in Johnson City and graduated from Johnson City High School.

Ferne Shepard Strauss, 94, died on Nov. 26, 2019, at The Henry House in Blanco, Texas. She was born to J.C. and Mary Shepard of Wicks, Arkansas on Nov. 21, 1925.
After graduating high school, she took a job with Western Union. At 17 years old, she boarded a train and went to Raymondville, Texas.
Ada Franke Cooley of Blanco passed away Dec. 2, 2019 at the age of 100. Ada was a member of the Blanco United Methodist Church, The Blanco – Spring Branch Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Ground Observers Corp During World War II in which she earned her wings.
Ada was born to Bernhardt “Ben” and Ella Nickel Franke on March 28, 1919.
Sidney Paul DuBose passed away in his sleep on October 15, 2019 at age 89. He was a lover of life.
He was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 6, 1930 to Sidney Isaac DuBose and Essie Sarah DuBose née Paul. He was raised by his father, his step mother, Blanche DuBose, as well as his grandmothers, aunts and uncles after his mother’s early death.
Peggy June Wright of Blanco passed away on Nov. 7, 2019, in her daughter’s home in Kyle, Texas, at the age of 79.
Peggy was a member of the United Methodist Church and was a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Center and UMC’s Lunches of Love and the Blanco Museum. She was a member of the Blanco Art Group and the Lavender Ladies.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m.
