Michael Leigh Clark died on the morning of Wednesday July 31, 2019 in San Antonio. Michael was born in Houston, Texas on May 6, 1961 to John Leigh Clark, III and Muriel Stackhouse Clark.
He is preceded in death by his father and his brother John Howard Clark. Michael is survived by his mother, his sisters Muriel “ReeRee” Clark Friedman (Jay), Laura Clark Weiss (Fritz), and Amy Clark Tomkins (Jeff), and his nieces and nephews who adored him.
Michael graduated from Texas State University and lived in Spring Branch, Texas. Michael was an environmentalist and animal lover; he enjoyed surfing, cycling, and gardening and was passionate about God’s creation of nature. He was a champion who ranged from taking care of abandoned cats, water conservation, and safeguarding the pristine land of the Texas Hill Country. Michael was thoughtful, compassionate, and had an appreciation for all living things. Michael would do anything for a friend in need, and he valued his family above all else. May he rest in peace knowing that his legacy of the love of nature and the land will live through all of us.
A celebration of life will be held on August 24 at 3 p.m. at the Weiss home in Lakeway, Texas.
