Ruby Lee Knoll Karen went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2019 at her home in Angleton, Texas. Ruby was born to Alvin and Tillie Knoll on May 20, 1942 in Blanco, Texas. Ruby was the fifth child of eight. The Knoll family resided in Blanco, Texas, where she graduated from Blanco High School in 1960.
Ruby married Jimmy Handberry and had three children, Rhonda Hopper, Troy Handberry and Randall Handberry. They divorced in 1969.
Ruby worked for Singleton’s in Blanco, Texas for over 20 years. During this time, she met Rudolph (Rudy) H. Karen and they married on May 4, 1994. They lived in Tow, Texas where they resided for a couple of years before moving to Angleton, Texas, where they found their forever home.
Survivors include her husband Rudy Karen, daughter Rhonda Hopper, son Troy Handberry and Cheryl Wegesin, son Randall Handberry and wife Tiffany Handberry, her sisters Helen Triesch, Dorothy Earley, Leona Carlton, her brothers Alvin and his wife Helen Knoll, Arthur J. and wife Linda Knoll, Ed and wife Sandy Knoll, grandchildren Natasha Horton, Ashley Handberry, Justin Hopper, Jordan Handberry, Britney Hopper, Jacie Handberry and step-grandchildren Elizabeth Hamby and Brandon Parra, great-grandchildren Collyn and Caydence Pepper, Summer and Wyatt Horton, one on the way, three step-great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
