Gloria Pearl Nance, 84, of Blanco passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg.
Gloria was born on Christmas Eve in 1934 in Blanco to Pearl Etta Bagby West and Henry Hiram West. She was a wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. Gloria was a volunteer EMT in Sabinal, Texas and was a member of the Blanco Church of Christ. She loved music and loved to dance, especially with the love of her life, Robert Nance. Gloria also loved hummingbirds and angels and collected them along with music boxes.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Milam Nance, Jr. and his wife Jacqueline of Pensacola, Florida and Richard West Nance of Taos, New Mexico; sister, Stella Zieglar; grandchildren, Hollie Nance of Pensacola, Florida and Tery Nance of Norfolk, Virginia; best friend and sister-in-law, Connie West of Blanco; numerous nieces and nephews.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Milam Nance, Sr.; son, Raymond Dial Nance; brothers, Frank West and Arthur “Tiny” West; sister, Hazel Price; Raye Jackson and Jewel Wynona Stewart.
A gathering of friends and family will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug.16, 2019, at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco. A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at Sabinal City Cemetery in Sabinal, Texas.
