Our Mason Junior High Cowgirls competed in a dual track meet vs. San Saba on Tuesday, February 26. Field events participants were awarded ribbons, but we do not have their distances or heights. All runners were awarded ribbons by heat, so we do not have overall places, only individual times.

Our Mason Junior High Cowgirls competed well at the Comfort Middle School Relays on Friday, March 1. We had some great competition from much larger schools. Our 8th grade team finished in 3rd place overall behind Fredericksburg and Lago Vista. Our 7th grade team finished in 4th place overall behind Fredericksburg, Lago Vista, and Llano.

James R. Edmonson, a member of the Boy Scout Troop #301 in Llano, has earned the honor of Eagle Scout, the highest rank that the Boy Scouts offer. Nation wide, only 3-4% of Boy Scout members ever attain this prestigious honor.
James received the Eagle award in a Court of Honor ceremony on January 5, 2019, at the Lutie Watkins First United Methodist Church.
The grant titled “Cars, Circuits, and Chicks - Oh My!” was submitted by our fabulous Elementary science teacher, Kaylee Halamicek. Mason Education Foundation happily funds building a child’s interest in the sciences.
Our Mason Cowgirls competed in the Comfort Bobcat Relays on Thursday, February 28. We had some great competition against some much larger schools. Our Varsity team finished in 4th place overall behind Blanco, Llano, and Lago Vista. Our JV team finished in 6th place overall.

Mason’s Clint Lane recently competed at the San Antonio Livestock Show and Expo’s Junior Shootout. Lane finished 4th in American Trap in Senior 1 Class shooting 97 of his 100 targets earning a buckle and gun for his efforts. Lane also competed in the categories of American Trap and Sporting Clays, taking 12th place in Clays.
This year the San Antonio Livestock Show and Expo Junior Shootout had over 1000 entries from all over Texas.
The Mason Boys Track Team Competed at the Harper Relay Carnival on February 21. The boys competed well. Results:
