The Mason Cowgirls track & field team competed well at the Harper Longhorn Relays on Saturday, March 23. Our JV Girls won the meet in their division, and our Varsity girls came in 2nd just a few points behind Eldorado.

Area high school students will develop leadership skills and learn about the Constitution as Mason County Farm Bureau invites them to apply for the annual Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) Youth Leadership Conference (YLC).
Students who attend YLC engage in patriotism, free enterprise and leadership opportunities, Shannon Worrell, Mason County Farm Bureau president, said.

The Mason High School UIL Academic Team won the District 2A-27 Championship at San Saba High School on March 25. By the end of the meet, Mason had amassed 739 points, besting second place San Saba’s 397 points.
In all, thirty-three Mason students advanced to compete in the Regional Academic Meet at Texas A&M Corpus Christi on April 12-13.

The High School Track Teams competed at the HOT Relays in Brady this past week. The meet was cancelled halfway thru due to lightning. Here are the results:

On March 22 at Kerrville Tivy HS, the company of PICNIC advanced to the Area meet. Judges ballots praised the actors for their “commitment to the text and the emotions to the characters” as well as “good ensemble quality.” They were also complimented on being “really grounded and very connected.”

The Mason Tennis Association will hold a fundraiser this Friday, March 29th, at the tennis courts in conjunction with the high school’s last invitational tennis tournament of the year.
