Once again this summer, The American Legion Auxiliary Fort Mason Unit 285 will be sending several Mason girls to attend the Bluebonnet Girls State Program, to be held at the Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, June 16 – 22, 2019.
The Bluebonnet Girls State Program was founded by the American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Texas, more than fifty years ago, and is open to young women in the summer before their senior year in high school.
Mark you calendar for the first public performance of the 2019 Mason High School One Act Play. This Sunday, March 3 at 5 pm, the cast and crew will present their competition piece at the MHS auditorium. The students have been attending rehearsals after long days of school and sport practices, sacrificing free time on Sunday afternoon while keeping up with school work to prepare their production.
The Mason Cowgirls competed well in their first track meet of the season, the Harper Carnival Relays, on Thursday, February 21. Results are as follows.

The Fredericksburg Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International announces a $500 scholarship to be awarded to a local female college student. Eligible applicants must be female and either the student or her parents must reside in Gillespie, Mason, Kimble, or Kendall counties. Applicant must be admitted to a teacher education program.

The Mason Punchers season came to an end with Area round loss to the high scoring Snook Blue Jays. Snook came in averaging seventy points per game in their previous seven games including a 70-62 win over Holland in bi-district. The Puncher’s defense was up for the challenge and did a phenomenal carrying out the game plan to stop the opponent.
The first quarter started with both teams trading three point shots and inside baskets and ended in a 9-9 tie.
