The Mason Tennis Team opened up its season by hosting an eight-team tournament on the new tennis courts and upgraded facility. Every coach and team that participated this weekend complimented Mason High School and the community of Mason for investing in the future of the tennis program and its support of tennis in general.
HUNTSVILLE, Texas (February 4, 2020) - The students listed on the Dean’s List of Academic Honors at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, are undergraduates who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of a perfect 4.0 in all work attempted while enrolled in not less than 12 semester hours.

The Hill Country District Junior Livestock Show was held in Kerrville on January 13 to 19th. Mason 4-H entered 31 members with a total of 57 animals. Of those animals, 13 placed in the top ten. At the area contest January 19th, Mason had 6 teams competing. Mason’s team of Jack Gillespie, Wyatt Row, Cy Nobles, and Ryne Todd placed 4th with their automated tractor. The team of Leroy Bobbitt, Laney Lastly, and Cutter Couvillion, placed 3rd with their automated plant picker. ABILENE, TX (01/22/2019)-- Stephen Horn of Mason TX has been named to the Fall 2018 Dean’s Honor Roll for McMurry University. To be eligible for the Dean’s Honor Roll, a student must have maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking six to eleven credit hours. McMurry University was founded in 1923 as a United Methodist institution, and is a vibrant and comprehensive center of higher education.
The football banquet will be held at the community building on January 31st at 6:00 p.m. We will recognize the varsity and junior varsity accomplishments as well as recognize the cheerleaders and trainers. Guest speaker for the banquet will be former Texas Tech quarterback, Cody Hodges. Puncher Club will be providing the meal and we hope that you can make plans to attend.
This year CTEC is offering twenty-five $1,000 college scholarships, bringing the combined amount of financial help awarded to area students over the program’s 22-year history to $584,000. Completed scholarship applications must be in the Fredericksburg CTEC office by 5 p.m., Friday, February 22. In order to be eligible, applicants must attend a recognized Texas institution of higher education in the fall 2019 semester and be considered a full-time student.
