Billy Wade Hughs passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at his home in Llano, on April 7, 2018. He was surrounded by his loving family as he peacefully went into the arms of his Lord and Savior. He was born in Clifton, on Dec. 24, 1943 to James Hughs and Annie Ruth Freedman Hughs.
William Francis Jennings, 72, passed away at home on April 10, 2018. He was born in Junction in 1945. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rebecca Hopson Jennings. He had two children, Naomi Jennings of Llano and Shane of Las Cruces, New Mexico. He had five grandchildren, two sisters, two brother and numerous nieces and nephews. Billy was preceded in death by his mother and father and one brother.
Arlis Lynel Sims, 78, graduated to her heavenly home from the family home in Kingsland, on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, following a short illness. A native Texan, Arlis was born Sept. 16, 1939, in the panhandle county of Hale, in the Ellen community to parents Cecil and Alice (Gresham) Culp. Kenny Randolph Osbourn passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2018. He was born June 21, 1949 in San Antonio to Fred and Wanda (Miller) Osbourn. Kenny is proceeded in death by his parents, and his brother Don Osbourn. He is survived by his wife Kathy (Elliott) Osbourn, daughter Amy Major, his son Kaleb Osbourn and grandson Corban Major all of Llano.
Susan Diane Wilkinson, age 57, of Port Aransas, and formerly of Llano, passed away Wednesday, April 4, in Corpus Christi, with her family by her side. Susan was born Nov. 29, 1960 in Houston, to Frank Buerger and Hazel Daphine (O’Neal) Buerger. She worked at Buttery Hardware in Llano over 18 years.
Mrs. Vernon F. Schwarz nee Edna Yuvonne Behrns of Highland Haven, formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 6, at the age of 83 years. Yuvonne was born Sept. 5, 1934 in Tow, the daughter of Dayton and Gladys Behrns.  She was a graduate of Llano High School and Draughons Business College in San Antonio. She married Vernon Schwarz on August 14, 1953 in Llano. She was employed by Pioneer National Bank that later became American Bank of Texas, obtaining the ...
Richard Claude Nelms III passed peacefully on his beloved Kingsland ranch on April 5, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. Born May 15, 1934, he was known by many as “Mike” and “R.C.” R.C. was an Army veteran, aviator, businessman, and rancher. He loved nature and the outdoors. R.C. was an avid sportsman who enjoyed salt-water fishing, hunting, and gun sports.
Floyd Henry Plueckhahn, 86, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 24, 2018. Floyd was born on Feb. 25, 1932 on their family farm near Winedale. After graduating high school, he enrolled at Texas A&M, but put his education on hold and enlisted in the U.S. Navy after the start of the Korean War and became an anti-aircraft gunner aboard the USS Los Angeles.
Dennis Allen Snyder, 60, passed away peacefully in Bryan. Dennis was born in Missouri but live in Llano for most of his life. He is survived by family in Theresa and husband Charles Pankey of Bryan, nephew Robbie Wisdom and wife Barbie, nephew Bryant and wife Tina in Alabama, and eight great nephews and nieces. A memorial will be set later.
Loy Jean Hawkins Austin née Pence died peacefully at home on March 25 in Mesquite, Texas. She was 70 years old. Jean was a doting grandmother and great-grandmother who spent her life caring for others. She had a deep love for her family, gospel music, the church, and her feisty Chihuahua, Sugar.
