This year marks the 27th anniversary of Lights Spectacular, Hill Country Style. Proclaimed as “the centerpiece of one of the biggest shows on the Texas Hill Country Regional Christmas Lighting Trail” by Southern Living magazine, it features a courthouse that “shines brighter than the star of Bethlehem.” The entire town is bathed in brightness with 100,000 lights twinkling on the Blanco County Courthouse.

Fifth Annual Western Showcase
“Western Showcase” is a more than an appropriate name for the Buggy Barn’s fifth annual autumn festival on the grounds of the facility located just north of Blanco on Highway 281. The two-day Hill Country Western Showcase is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4-5.

“Western Trappings on the Llano” grew out of a small group of Llano County Historical Museum board members in a brainstorming session back in 2013. Led by Carl Shannon, and assisted by Charles Wendt, a noted and accomplished spur maker, the group took on the daunting task of planning and presenting to the people of Llano a show with the finest in custom gear and original western art.
