Our band concert was moved to this Wednesday, May 8th. We apologize for the late notice - the high school baseball playoff game were scheduled for Thursday and this Wednesday was the only other day available between now and the end of the year. The concert will start at 7:00 pm with the 5th graders followed by 6th grade, the HS Jazz band, the JH band, and finally the HS band.

On Monday, April 29, 2019, six members of the Mason FFA Chapter attended the Bluebonnet District FFA Banquet in Llano, Texas. The purpose of the banquet is to recognize FFA chapters in the district for recent accomplishments during the 2018-2019 school year. This year, the Mason FFA has competed with sixty different students in twenty leadership and career development events.

At the area contest January 19th, Mason had 6 teams competing. Mason’s team of Jack Gillespie, Wyatt Row, Cy Nobles, and Ryne Todd placed 4th with their automated tractor. The team of Leroy Bobbitt, Laney Lastly, and Cutter Couvillion, placed 3rd with their automated plant picker. Taking 2nd place, and qualifying to go to state robotics in May, were Hunter Bradley, Jordan Lyles, and Scout Magnus. On February 1st, the Mason Jr.

The Mason Cowgirls track & field team competed well at the Regional Track & Field Meet in Kingsville on April 26 & 27. Our cowgirls advanced to the finals in almost every event that we competed in, and we ended up as the 8th place team overall. Our 4x200m relay ran their fastest time of the year on Friday in prelims with a time of 1:50.88, and our 4x400m relay team also ran their fastest time of the year in prelims with a time of 4:15.45.
The following young men participated at the Regional Track Meet in Kingsville this past weekend. Our Mason Cowgirls competed in the Area Track Meet on Tuesday, April 16, in Charlotte. Our cowgirls competed well advancing to Regionals in almost every event that we competed in at the Area Meet. Our girls' team finished in 2nd place overall as a team with 118 points behind San Saba who had 188 points. The Department of Texas VFW Auxiliary sponsors a scholarship program to assist nursing students achieve their goals. Current nursing students, who will be seniors for the fall 2019-2020 school year can apply. The nursing student must be attending a Texas College or University, be an American Citizen and have a 3.0 or higher GPA.
