To the class of 2020...this is definitely not the graduation that we have always pictured; however, because we have grown up in the community of Mason, we have plenty of memories that can make up for this. Most kids don’t have the chance to grow up in a town like this.
Thank you all for gathering tonight to celebrate my classmates and I, especially under the circumstances that we are in. I think I can speak for every one of my classmates by saying that we would not be wearing these gowns and riding in this parade if it weren’t for every single one of you all’s support.

The very first Mason High School Graduation on the Square is in the books! Thanks to the pandemic, everything is different these days, and high school graduations are no exception. The MISD administration made the difficult decision to depart from the traditional ceremony at the Puncherdome and hold a Socially Distant Graduation Parade instead.

Eighteen Mason High School students have earned the ServSafe Texas Food Handler Certification. The Food Handler course is administered by the National Restaurant Association and tests students’ knowledge over basic food safety, personal hygiene, cross-contamination and allergens, time and temperature controls, and cleaning and sanitation.  Students completed the coursework as a requirement of their Lifetime Nutrition and Wellness course.
It’s graduation time, and we are looking forward to a new kind of celebration! The faculty and administration of Mason High School is well aware that the numbers of persons who have tested positive for COVID-19 continue to grow in our county. We take this situation very seriously, and it has been in the forefront of our minds as we made plans to hold a graduation parade.
