The Mason Puncher Track Teams traveled to Comfort, Tx. last week to compete in the Comfort Nation Track Meet. The young men competed very well and represented Mason with CHARACTER AND CLASS. Many of the young men saw improvements in their events. Very Proud of these young men on how they represent Mason both on and off the track. Mason Cowgirls ran off with the lead late in the game in a 17-14 victory over San Saba on Saturday. The game was tied at 14 with Mason Cowgirls batting in the bottom of the sixth when Avery Brooks tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Mason Cowgirls earned the victory despite allowing San Saba to score nine runs in the fourth inning. The Mason Cowgirls competed well at their first track meet against several larger schools at the Blanco Panther Relays on Thursday, February 27. Our JV girls finished in 4th place overall and our Varsity girls finished in 5th place overall behind Wimberley, Lago Vista, Johnson City, and Comfort. Results are listed below. The Mason ISD Scholarship Foundation was formed through the generosity of the late Geneva Keller, a Mason County native. Mrs. Keller left her ranchland of approximately 600 acres, an area better known to locals as White’s Crossing, to the Foundation to be sold and the proceeds used for higher education for graduates of Mason ISD.
