The Mason High School varsity softball team began District 28-2A play this past week and the Cowgirls picked up two lopsided wins at home vs. Junction High School and on the road at Harper High School.

In their first district game of the 2021 season, Mason certainly did not disappoint on March 9 as the Cowgirls thrashed the visiting Junction Lady Eagles 18-5.

The Mason High School tennis team advanced to the 3A & Under State Team Tournament again this year after winning the Region IV tournament on Saturday, March 6th. Mason beat both Llano and San Saba 19-0 to advance to the State Tournament held in San Antonio on March 12-13. Mason once again brought home the State Championship after beating the Wall Hawks 10-4 in the final round Saturday evening at Northside Tennis Center in San Antonio.
The Mason High School varsity baseball team won its seventh straight game on Friday, March 12 when the Punchers won a 13-0 blowout contest at home vs. Goldthwaite High School.
With the Punchers already leading the Eagles 1-0, the Mason offense really took flight beginning in the bottom of the third inning when Spencer Morris cracked a solo home run over the leftfield fence.
The Punchers continued the bottom of the third inning with a two-out rally.
Are you ready for some spring ball? The Mason Youth Baseball & Softball Association would like to invite everyone to their upcoming Opening Day Ceremonies, annual brisket fundraiser and games to be held on Saturday, March 27th. Come early and hungry and stay all day.

The Mason High School girls varsity basketball team continued a busy week in the UIL Class 2A Playoffs this past week with two victories and one season-ending loss.

In the 2A Area Playoffs hosted by Medina Valley High School, it was a battle of Cowgirls as Mason squared off with Premont High School.
The Mason Cowgirls competed very well in their first varsity track meet of the season at the Sonora Bronco Relays on Saturday, February 27. The Cowgirls finished 2nd as a team behind Crane. Individual results are as follows:
