The Mason Community Choir will begin rehearsals for our Christmas Cantata on Monday, October 7th at 6:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Special Performers,Vendors, and Dog Parade Old Yeller Day, an annual event celebrating the literary heritage of Mason author, Fred Gipson, is set this year for September 28 from 9:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on the west side of the courthouse square in downtown Mason. The Sonora Broncos welcomed the Mason Punchers on Friday night, and they were ready to give the Mason boys a night of great football. Sonora took the opening kickoff; but, even though they didn't lose yardage, they couldn't quite push through the Puncher defense to even come close to scoring. The Punchers took over deep in their own territory; and the Broncos went toe to toe with Mason, allowing them very little yardage.
Mason Bank sponsored their 31st annual golf tournament at Comanche Creek Golf Course on Saturday. The bank served a delicious meal to seventy five individuals. (Mason, Texas) - Students from around the Mason Area invite students from surrounding communities to share their Christian faith with fellow students during our 4th Annual National Fields of Faith Event. This interdenominational outreach event will be held in over 500 locations throughout the nation. Fields of Faith is structured as a student-to-student ministry.
The 69th Llano River Valley German Hymn Fest will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Hilda United Methodist Church in Hilda, Texas, just off of F.M. 783 beginning at 3:00 p.m. In 1951, Rev. W.R. Birkner and Hugo Schulze decided to celebrate the singing of hymns in German to the glory of God, and to express appreciation for the Christian faith of early German settlers, and to preserve the inspiration of God’s word as expressed through the German language.
