Come enjoy a chili lunch at the Castell School/Community Building on November 2nd, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Chili with all the fixings, dessert and a drink, all for only $10. Along with the fundraiser luncher are some raffle items (hunting knives, customized metal yard sign, gift cards, George Foreman grill).
Please, mark your calendars now for Sunday, November 3rd; this year’s date for the parish’s Annual Enchilada Mexican Dinner. Serving will be 11am to 2pm in The Hall located on the church grounds. You may “Eat In” and enjoy visiting with other diners or you may request “Take Out” as you follow the Drive Thru line. Each plate is $10.00 and the meal consists of enchiladas, beans, rice, salad, tea and a dessert.
The Mason High School band went to Leander this past weekend and came away with the best rating we could receive. Straight 1’s from all three judges gave the band a 1st division and accomplished their first goal for the year. Achieving a sweepstakes is our overall goal, and this completes the first stage of that goal.
Hamburgers/Cheeseburgers this Thursday, October 24, on Square grilled & served by Mason Ministerial Alliance between 11 AM and 2 PM !!! (Cost: donations in cash or check to the Mason Ministerial Alliance.) Proceeds will go toward Mason Food Pantry needs. Menu options below: Hamburgers (with/without cheese) Lettuce, tomatoes, pickle, bag of Potato chips, Fritos, or Doritos, bottle of water.
The Punchers continued their district play last Friday and racked up their second conference victory, defeating the Junction Eagles 62-6 at the Puncherdome. The entire game was dominated by the Punchers. Their first score came midway through the first quarter on a Matt Kerr short run, followed by Kyle Montoya's PAT.

PICK UP FOR Pre orders will be at Mason Bank, beginning at 8:30 am. Buddy’s Animal Rescue is holding their third annual KRISPY KREME fundraiser. Buddy’s is a 501c3 nonprofit rescue dedicated to bottle feeding orphaned kittens and puppies and spaying/neutering/fostering dogs from our local pound.
Believe it or not it’s time again for Mason’s Annual Fall Arts Fest this Saturday October 26th! Come join in the fun 11-4 as we welcome artists and crafts-folk from the Texas Hill Country to set up their wares on our historic square. We’ll have paintings, photography, quilted items, ceramics, jewelry, handbags, incredible lighting fixtures and so much more! While you’re walking the square make sure to check out the great shops Mason has to offer.
Funding creative and innovative teacher grants in Mason’s award-winning schools positively impacts the education of students from Pre-K through 12th grade and enriches the District’s mission of excellence in education! The Mason ISD Education Foundation is focused on this mission and appreciates all of the help from our community. Mason County Judge Jerry Bearden issued an executive order on Monday lifting the burn ban for Mason County. Judge Bearden reminded readers that, though the burn ban has been lifted, dry conditions still persist in local fields and pastures and urged caution when dealing with any flammable situations. Conditions will be evaluated to determine the need to issue a new burn ban as needed.
