ROUND ROCK - The Mason High School girls’ varsity cross country squad ran its hearts out on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the 2020 UIL Cross Country Championships held at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.
In a field of 12 schools that entered runners of five or more as well as many other schools who entered individual runners, the Cowgirls placed seventh with 152 points in the team portion of the girls’ Class 2A 3,200-meter run.

As the Punchers continue their playoff games, entailing travel all over central Texas to their games, recent increases in positive COVID tests in the area are causing concern for schools and local governments.
Alarms were raised late last week when San Saba County briefly appeared to show over 150 active cases.
Alpha Beta Psi will be hosting its annual Light Up Our Town Saturday, November 28th 3:00 – 6:00 p.m! Santa and Mrs. Clause will be arriving by fire truck at 3:00 p.m. They will be on the courthouse porch hearing Christmas wish lists and taking photos.

The Mason Roundup Court helped make this year's Wild Game Drive-Thru Dinner Fundraiser a big success. As always, the Court was there all evening helping out where needed and making sure everyone had a wonderful time. Puncher Club is pleased to announce the winner of our gun raffle. Rich Hartvigsen was the lucky winner of this year’s raffle. Puncher Club will use the funds from this raffle to continue supporting our Cowgirls and Punchers. We recently purchased warm-ups for the girls’ cross country which qualified to compete at the State meet.

November 11 is a day set aside to recognize our Veterans and their additional service to our community in everyday life.
The year 2020 has been full of postponements for all walks of life and we of the Veterans of Foreign Wars are required to celebrate the 11th as a Veterans Day event.
