The Johnson City Lady Eagles are doing their own version of Willie Nelson's On The Road Again, the Lady Eagles traveled to Utopia last Friday night and then traveled to Leakey on Tuesday night.
The Lady Eagles will be back on the road again on Friday as they travel to Harper.
The Lady Eagles brought out their brooms and swept the ladies from Utopia in three straight games.

Sabinal came to town under threats of rain but soon found out their only threat was the Lady Eagles of Johnson City.
Emily Matjeka took the mound for the Lady Eagles allowing only one run with 12 strikeouts. The Lady Eagles broke in their new field with Skylar McKennis hitting a Grand Slam in the first inning brining the score 4 to 0.
Over the Spring Break holiday, the Eagles competed in the first annual Blanco County Tournament, and finished with three wins and two losses. They began district play, defeating Ozona and Mason to achieve a 2-0 record to start out district competition.
The Eagles opened up the tournament against Jarrell and defeated the Cougars 6-2.
The HS Eagles Tennis Team competed Thursday in The Fredericksburg Hill Country Championships tournament with 14 area schools represented.
Jesus Zavala encountered stout competition and finished with no wins and 2 loses.

The Blanco County 4-H Jr Horse Judging Team and the Johnson City FFA Horse Judging Team started spring break by attending the Houston Horse Judging Contest in Katy Texas on March 9, 2015.
This contest is one of the largest contest in the nation with over 750 contestants this year.
Our kids did an amazing job this year representing Blanco County 4H and Johnson City FFA.
The Lady Eagles played the first game of district against Harper at home last Friday night. The Lady Eagles could not get the bats going, scoring only one run for the game. Emily Matjeka was on the mound for Lady Eagles. Harper hit the ball well scoring 5 runs in the game.
The Lady Eagles had several moments of good defense including two throw downs from catcher to third base but were not able to get the points on the board.
The School Board met on March 2, 2015 with all board members present.
The first item on the agenda was a report from the Stadium Construction Committee. Kip Thompson gave a brief report and Mr. Fromberg gave a detailed report on the timeline for construction, costs, and facilities. The stadium costs include a concession stand, restrooms, press box and a new field house.
