Johnson City won the coin flip and chose to battle the Jourdanton Indians at Boerne High School, Tuesday, February 20, for a District 25/26 Bi-District Playoff game.
The Eagles soared, having one of their highest scoring games of all season, but it was not enough to topple the Indians, as JC fell 81 to 85.
Playoff magic was in the air before tip-off, a sign that anything could happen between these two teams.

On Tuesday March 6, Pocs is hosting an Adventure Dash Fun Run. Adventure Dash is an organization that puts on community obstacle courses to raise money for schools.

Before opening the Johnson City School Board meeting, a public hearing was held for a presentation on the district’s 2016-2017 annual performance report. During their regular meeting session, the school board approved the May 5, 2018 school board election. They also approved a new calendar for the 2018-2019 school year.

Johnson City departed for Lago Vista Friday to battle the Vikings. Three wins made the return voyage a joyous one, as JV-B won 55 to 18, the JV A-Team won 38 to 33, and the Varsity won 61 to 55.
The Varsity Boys came out flying, scoring seven unanswered points by the time Lago got their first basket.
After a delayed start due to January’s ice day, the Discovery Academy at Johnson City Library is running at full speed after starting the Spring session last month. The Varsity Eagles faced a tough week in competition however, The JV boys pulled two wins against the Blanco Panthers and Comfort Bobcats.

Johnson City hosted the Blanco Panthers Jan. 30 for the second meeting of the season. The Eagles broke even, as the JV A-Team defeated the Panthers 51 to 48, and the Varsity boys fell 59 to 65.
Blanco took an early lead, finishing the first quarter with 17 points to JC’s nine.
After two losses this week, the Lady Eagles await details for the first round of district playoffs.

The Lady Eagles played host to the Blanco Lady Panthers Tuesday, January 30 for the last home game of the season and senior night. Blanco did not add to the festive mood, handing JC a 26 to 50 loss.
Seniors Jackie Henriquez, Makayla Preston, and Trinity Puckett played their last ever game at home.
The Varsity Eagles continued a district winning streak last week with a win last Tuesday against the Ingram Warriors and the Florence Buffaloes on Friday.

Johnson City entertained a home crowd with three wins against the Ingram Warriors last Tuesday. Starting the second round of district play, the JV B-Team won 44 to 30, JV A-Team won 46-38, and the Varsity won 45 to 37.
The Warriors took a three-point lead to end the first quarter, 10-13.
The Lady Eagles split the week with a district win against the Lady Warriors from Ingram High School and a loss on the road against the Lady Buffs from Florence High School.
