After medaling with top scores at the Regional Visual Art Scholastic Event 51 LBJ art students competed in the Area Visual Art Scholastic Event. Ten Lyndon B. Johnson Art Students were chosen by 60 qualified judges to win AREA in 4 divisions.

Blanco County Commissioners went through the agenda in reverse order on Tuesday, March 14 so they could end with an executive session discussing the possible lease of the Old Blanco County Jail. A dozen individuals were injured as the result of a four-vehicle accident on Friday, March 10. North Blanco County EMS was dispatched with the Johnson City Volunteer Fire Department to the scene of the incident South of Johnson City on HWY 281.
Blanco County 911 received reports of a multiple-vehicle accident with injuries, including children injured.
At the City Council’s March meeting, plans moved forward on a proposed subdivision of high end garden homes in Johnson City. The Council also approved a plan to repair the sidewalk and drainage on the corner of the Courthouse Square. Citizens also spoke about their concerns with road maintenance and the “Johnson Amendment.”
