On May 9, 2020 Bobby J. Gamez, 37 years old, and a loving husband and father of two was, called home to be with the Lord. He was raised in Spring Branch and attended Smithson Valley high school. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.
Dorothy N. McCall passed away the morning of April 29, 2020 at her home in Blanco, lovingly surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born July 29, 1940 in San Antonio, to Iverson Randolph Boone and Floy Velma (Hawkins) Boone. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Gwendolyn Dose, and brother, Elman Boone. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Robert “Bob” McCall; two daughters, Suzanne and Robin McCall Dallenbach.
Corrine Hilda Mueller Gass was born on July 3, 1924, the second child of Oscar and Hertha Mueller in Twin Sisters, Texas. After living a long and joyful life, she outlived all family members of her generation and almost all of her lifelong friends. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 23, 2020. Corrine’s first eight years of education were in a one room schoolhouse in Twin Sisters.
Robert (Bob) Allen Oren of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, left to his final resting place on March 15, 2020. Born to Rex and Fay Oren of Trenton, Missouri on April 11, 1930, Robert leaves behind his wife of nearly 65 years, Norma Horany Oren and his six children, Cindy, Robert, Neda, Thomas, Amanda, and Kathryn, their spouses and seven grandchildren.
Nell Stansbury, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed from this life on March 31, 2020, one month shy of her 95th birthday. Born April 29, 1925, in Brownwood, to H.P. and Hallie Stewart, Nell graduated from Scranton High School in 1942. David Jerome Smiser, 75, entered the gates of heaven with joy and thanksgiving on Saturday, March 28, 2020. David was born on Sept. 16th, 1944 to Jerome Standley Smiser and Lucile Yeager Smiser in Houston. He graduated high school from San Marcos Baptist Academy, attended TCU and graduated from North Texas State University with a BBA in Banking and Finance.
Rick Collett was born to Frank and Sunny Collett on Jan. 14, 1951 in San Antonio. After spending his early years there, his family moved to Blanco in 1959. He left high school at age 17 to enlist in the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Vietnam. A platoon leader and demolition specialist, Collett saw combat as a sergeant in the 101st Airborne, Screaming Eagles with the 4th infantry.
Jerry Wayne Lindeman was born on Nov. 4, 1938 to Wesley Wayne Lindeman and Cornelia Pearl Wagner Lindeman in Blanco. He graduated from Blanco High School in 1957. On Nov. 23, 1952 he married his high school sweetheart Marie, Anna Kneupper. He was blessed with two children, Michael and Sharon. Jerry worked as a mechanic in Blanco and Johnson City.
Cheryl Louise Harris, 75, of Johnson City, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, Feb. 17, 2020 in Fredericksburg, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 27, 1944 in Georgetown, to Albert Winston Cox and Martha Louise (McDuffie) Cox. Cheryl grew up in San Marcos, where she attended school.
Robert (Bobby) Keith Laumer was born on Oct. 26,1958 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota to his mother Norma Nell West Laumer and father William John Laumer. He joined his parents in heaven on Feb. 8, 2020 in his home surrounded by those he loved. Bobby is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Laumer; son, Johnathon Robert Laumer and girlfriend Tara Martinez; son, Nathan Curtis Laumer and girlfriend Nicole Spivey; daughters, Michelle Laumer Cloud and Brandy Milam; sisters, Mary Frazier, and Wanda Bern ...
