An interest in getting more involved in the community led to Rachel Lumpee joining the City of Blanco Planning and Zoning Commission.
Lumpee has attended the meetings since 2018 and covered them for the Blanco County News.

The Area Agency on Aging provides services for older adults and their caregivers in coordination with the Blanco County Community Resource Center (BCCRC).

A second death attributed to COVID-19 in Blanco County has been announced.
A woman in her 70s, who lived in the Johnson City zip code, died of the disease, the Blanco County Office of Emergency Management announced late last week. “She was exposed to COVID-19 and subsequently developed symptoms,” BCOEM reported.
Kinder Morgan presented a donation of $162,000 to the Blanco County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday last week. The department plans to use the donation for transportation and other operational costs. Shelly Wenmohs was acknowledged as the new part-time auditor for Blanco County during the Blanco County Commissioners Court meeting on July 14.
On Tuesday, July 21, Judge Brett Bray swore Wenmohs into office. She will serve the remainder of the two-year term, effective July 1 and ending Oct. 1, 2021.
Wenmohs graduated from Texas A&M University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
