Blanco Performing Arts is pleased to announce the lineup of performers for its sixth season, entitled, "A Few of My Favorite Things." Concerts will be held in the beautiful Uptown Blanco Ballroom located at 503 Third Street in Blanco. The season kicks off on November 7 at 7:30 p.m. with an outstanding group, the Miró Quartet.

As a special event this fall, the Hill Country Community Theatre will host actor Lisa Dalton as she presents a new translation of the Anton Chekhov short story The Darling. This unique one-person show, directed by Victor S. Tkachenko, has been performed in cities around the country, including Los Angeles, Fort Worth, and in New York as part of the New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC). “Kintsugi,” Cheryl Quallenberg said. “It’s a Japanese philosophy and repair technique. Kintsugi means if you repair something that’s broken it’s better than it was before. Saturday afternoon, September 19, was a continuation of a big art weekend in Llano with the opening of Lee Casbeer’s Art Exhibit at the Llano Fine Art Guild. Casbeer grew up in Llano but finished High School in Fredericksburg, Texas, then studied art under John McClusky with the Fredericksburg Art Guild.

These are exciting times at Colorado Bend State Park! After two years of planning and hard work the Tinaja Trail is open. The unique feature of the Tinaja itself is impressive – as are the vistas, native plants, and bird life along the trail. The overlook deck on the Tie Slide Trail has also been completed.
