After a two-year hiatus, the Llano Christmas Lighting Committee is teaming up with Llano County Sting to back the annual Fourth of July event, held on the banks of the Llano River at Badu Park. This year they are introducing the high-speed sport of jet ski racing - which will be held on Town Lake beginning Saturday, July 4 at 1pm.

Following Wimberley's historic flood which damaged the homes of many residents, the Wimberley Valley Art League is reaching out to help those in need. The Art League, comprised of 125 members, has a dozen or more of its artists affected by the floodwaters. To help those artists and many other displaced residents, the League has called upon its members and artist-associates to host a special one-day exhibit called 100@100.

The temperature hovers around a brisk 40 degrees on an overcast March afternoon. But Pamela Arnosky, who farms full time with her family on their Blanco County land, pays no mind. She's got buckets of fresh ranunculus to grade and band into bunches. Clad in a heavy wool sweater, corduroy jeans, and sturdy gloves, Pamela works at a towel-covered table in an open-air shed.

When Texans want relaxing fun in the sun they head for the Coastal Bend of Aransas Pass, Mustang Island, North Padre Island, Port Aransas, and Rockport. Especially Port A and Rockport. Just say the name "Port A" and watch their eyes light up. Everyone who's ever been there can't wait to tell you a story about the place.

You can have so much fun visiting Canyon Lake's Jellystone Park that you might have to take a vacation in order to recover from this vacation. Think that's an exaggeration? Well, just consider a sample day's activities: Saying the pledges with none other than Yogi Bear himself, going on a Hey Hey Ride.

Call me crazy. Insane. Bonkers. Completely off my rocker. But the thing is — I don't want you to have to read this. I want a weather change that's so drastic there'd be no need to even glance at what I'm about to write. I want this article to become obsolete before you got a chance to see it – even before it goes into print.

A few Texas towns are proud to have drive-in outdoor theaters, but how many have walk-in outdoor theaters? Just Wimberley. The Corral Theatre provides a few chairs and a small set of bleachers that patrons may sit on, or bring your own folding chairs to watch first-run movies in true comfort.
