Last week, the White team traveled to Comanche to take on the Indians. The Punchers played well from the very beginning, scoring first. After a late touchdown by the Indians, the Punchers led at half time with a score of 8-6. After halftime, the Punchers continued their first half success scoring on 2 more drives while only allowing another late score to Comanche.
Mason High School's annual Queen's Coronation event is right around the corner: Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 for pictures. Please save the date on your calendar. This year’s theme is “A Walk in Central Park.” Tickets are $10 and are available in the High School office or by contacting a Band Booster Officer: Piper Perlichek, Deandra Palacio, Tiffany Klaerner or Misty Standard. Storytime is held Mondays at 10:30 a.m. in the Kid’s Zone of the Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library. Children ages 2-6 are welcome and should be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Weekly stories are led by Carol Lampman, an elementary school teacher specializing in early childhood development. In this week’s story, little mouse worries that the big hungry bear will take his freshly-picked, red ripe strawberry.
The Mason ISD Flu shot clinic will be on Friday, Oct. 5th from 9-12 and 1-3 p.m. at school. Flu shot forms will NOT be mailed out. If you want your child to receive the flu vaccine, you can pick up the forms at the offices or print them off from our school website. Permission slips are due by Friday, September 28th.
After slogging through a victory over Sonora the prior week, last week's game against Jim Ned was moved to Thursday night to avoid the threat of severe storms. High schools all over central and west Texas had done the same, and it turned out to be a wise decision. The Jim Ned Indians entered the game with a 3-0 record, just like the Punchers.
Last week the Punchers traveled to Jim Ned to take on the Indians. They fought hard through out the entire game. The half time score was 0-0. The Indians where able to pull away in the second half winning the game 25-0.
