Dorothy Lee Jeffreys, 99, of San Diego, California, passed away April 15, 2018, in a hospice care facility. She was born in Holt, Texas, on September 22, 1918. Dorothy married John Leslie “Les” Jeffreys on May 24, 1936. Dorothy and Les moved to California in the early 1940’s for Les’s job in the aircraft industry.
Betty Garner, of San Angelo and formerly of Mason, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, at the age of 78. Betty was born in Mason on November 30, 1939 to J.D. Garner and Hazel Gifford Garner. She was raised in Mason and is a 1958 graduate of Mason High School. After high school Betty went to Austin and trained to be a beautician.
Joan Margaret Williams was born on April 16, 1932, in Hicksville, New York, to Roland Wenner and Helen Zatorski Wenner. She died at her son’s home in Lawton, Oklahoma, on Saturday, April 7. Joan grew up in Hicksville and went to nursing school after graduation from high school. Joan met her future husband, Cecil Williams while he was serving in the United States Navy and was stationed at the Brooklyn Naval yard.
Bobbie Ruth Bass was born February 13, 1931, in Anna, Texas, to Roby and Elkanah Bass. When Bobbie was 3 years old her mother Elkanah passed away, leaving 6 children. A year later Roby married Julia Barton. Bobbie passed away on Friday, April 6, at the age of 87 at her home in Mason. She is survived by her children Connie Bass of Belton, John Mahaffey and wife Annette of Boerne, Bobbye Hansen and husband Mickey of Grand Junction, Colorado and Sandra Gosse and husband Brock of Aransas Pass ...
Gerald Loeffler, 87, died March 15, 2018, in the Hill Country Care Center in Junction, Texas. A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. March 18, 2018, at the Kimble Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m, Monday, March 19, 2018, at the College Street Church of Christ in Junction, officiated by King Burney with singing led by Bryce Stewart.
Anthony William Martin passed away on February 20, at the age of 64. He passed very peacefully at his home in Llano Texas, with his family in attendance. Anthony “Tony”, was born on December 28, 1953, in Brady Texas. He was the son of Arnold and Patsy Martin. Tony was raised on the family ranch and graduated from Mason High School in 1972. Tony lived in Colorado a number of years before moving back to Texas.
Elizabeth “Lee” Schulze, 93 of Rochester, formerly Spring Valley area died on Saturday, February 24 at Whitewater Health Systems in St. Charles, after a long battle with Lewy body dementia. Elizabeth was born October 29, 1924, in Center Township, PA to John and Ann Osipchak. After high school she enrolled in a government sponsored nurse training program requiring two years of military service.
William Thomas (Tommy) Reardon came into the world in Mason County on a blustery March day, March 25, 1938. His parents, Frantz and Dorothy Zesch Reardon soon learned that their first born was as lively (and windy) as the day of his birth. He was joined by a little brother, Pat less than two years later.
Jane Brenda Brandenberger Zesch, 72, of Mason, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2018, surrounded by her family. A celebration of life will be held at the River of Life Church in Mason, Texas on Friday, March 9, 2018, at 2 PM with Pastor Dave Benefield officiating. A reception to follow at the Grossville Clubhouse. Jane was born on June 11, 1945, and was specially chosen by Sam and Willie Mae Brandenberger.
Delfina Martinez, of Mason, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, at the age of 89. Survivors include three children: Manuel Martinez Jr., of Mason, Dora Sanchez and husband John of Fredericksburg and Natalia Ramon and husband Higinio of Mason along with four brothers Adolfo Morquecho, Mike Morquecho and wife Carolina, Ernest Morquecho and wife Rosa, Joe Morquecho and wife Frances, a nephew Freddie Sapien and wife Liz, two sisters Carolina Menchaca and Beverly Morquecho, 9 grandchildren, 2 ...
