Raymond Dale Pape of Mason passed away on December 5, 2017, at the age of 87.
He was born in Harper TX to Gilbert and Manie Cottle Pape on May 1, 1930. He graduated from Harper High School. The family moved to Rocksprings and ranched there for many years. On February 6, 1959 he married Brinda Neidigh in Leakey TX.

James Weldon “Jim” Tucker, age 76, of Mason, Texas passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas.
James was born March 30, 1941, in Newgulf, Texas to Weldon Norvell Tucker & Annie Alta (Thomason) Tucker. He graduated from the San Marcos Military Academy in 1960, where he learned to love guns and shooting and he attended Sam Houston University for 2 years.
He married Carol Hodges on May 17, 1969, in Houston.
Maria Morquecho Menchaca, of Mason, passed away on Monday, December 4, at the age of 85.
Maria was born on February 1, 1932 in Fredericksburg to Estevan Morquecho and Ramona Towns Morquecho. In 1946 she married Alfredo Menchaca and they made their home in Mason. In Mason they were members of St.
Eulene Johnson, of Mason, passed away on November 1, at the age of 94.
A Celebration of Her Life and interment of her cremated remains will take place on Saturday, December 9, at 10:00 a.m. at the Gooch Cemetery in Mason.

For years I’ve been poking fun at the Global Warming crowd, because they claim human activity has such a profound impact on the long-term climate on earth that we’re ruining the environment. My position has always been that cyclic warming and cooling trends occur naturally, and have been doing that for thousands of years, and human impact is so small as to be infinitesimal.
Kenneth Don Gray, 81, passed away November 25, 2017, in Round Rock, TX. Ken was born to Lewis and Estelle Gray on March 10, 1936, in San Saba, Texas.
Ken graduated from Llano High School in 1954 and married the love of his life, Shirley Jean Barber, in Cherokee TX on May 24, 1952.

On November 19, 2017, Nathan Wallace Leamons, age 29, passed away in Hico after a 1 1/2 year struggle with illness.
Nathan was born at home on Elder Hill Road in Driftwood, Texas on September 22, 1988. He was named after the prophet, so it’s not surprising he was fascinated by Old Testament prophecy.
Nathan had a gift with mathematics and had an aptitude for foreign languages.
