River of Life Church will be holding their 11th Annual Fall Festival on Tuesday, October 31st from 5 - 8pm. There will be free food, a variety of fun games, Cake Walk, Giant Inflatable Slide, Bouncy Castle, Laser Tag, Prize Booth and of course plenty of candy! Five seniors from last year’s 2017 graduating class were named as recipients of a prestigious Texas Interscholastic League Foundation Scholarship. Only high-achieving students who competed at the state level in UIL Academic competitions and then enroll in a Texas university are eligible to apply for these scholarships. The five seniors receiving awards were Ali Baltierra, Margaret Graves, Kendra Klaerner, Sara Powell, and Steeley Smith.

The preseason for the Mason Punchers ended with their sixth consecutive win on Friday night with a 47-0 win over the Ballinger Bearcats.
The Punchers received the opening kickoff, and began a game that they would control for all four quarters.

Inviting Students from Surrounding Communities to be Held on October 14th
(Mason, Texas) - students from around the Mason Area invite students from surrounding communities to share their Christian faith with fellow students during our 2nd Annual National Fields of Faith Event. This interdenominational outreach event will be held in over 500 locations throughout the nation.
Fields of Faith is structured as a student-to-student ministry.
Mason Education Foundation board members are repeatedly asked, “What exactly does the MISD Education Foundation do?” As a six year member, I decided to look into its beginnings hoping to discover the motivation behind The Foundation. I interviewed Janet Schmidt, the founding Executive Director, and Bobbie McMillan, the founding President.
Sunday, October 8 at noon, the Steady Steps Weekday Children’s Ministry council invites you to their annual spaghetti lunch held in the Social Hall of the First United Methodist Church. The meal is by donation and proceeds help benefit the center through its nursery through Pre-K learning program (Frog Street Curriculum) and its faith based program.
