On Saturday, November 3 The Mason Square Museum celebrated a major milestone - 35,000 visitors! Congratulations to Eric and Christelle Tueur Dormeval from Cognac, France, pictured in the photograph. On hand to welcome our special guests were docent Kent Bruce and board member Alberta Birk. To show our appreciation, Eric and Christelle were presented with a $50 gift certificate to the museum gift shop.
The Mason County Republican Women will hold their bimonthly luncheon on Wednesday, November 14th, 2018, at 11:30 am in the Stribling Room at the Mason Library.
Members and guests will gather at 11:30 am for meet and greet with the luncheon starting promptly at noon.
Our distinguished speaker for the program is Senator Charles Perry who is currently serving in the Texas State Senate in Senate District 28.
Funds will be used to build outdoor play and garden area
MASON, Texas – M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library will be able to build an outdoor play and garden area thanks to a $16,390 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority and the City of Mason.
The new Discovery Garden will include a covered pavilion, benches, walking paths, fencing and an entryway with signage.
During ceremonies on Saturday night, Mason High School selected their 2018-2019 royal court. Left to right: Duchess Brooke Wheelock, Duke Blake McLaughlin, Duchess Cierra Wright, Duke Roman Coe, Queen Raegan Glentz, King Ethan Powell, Duchess Kate Gillespie, Duke Rudy Martinez, Duchess Reagan Standard and Duke Otto Wofford. The attendants were: Addy Lopez and Jase Wartenbach, who presented the crown and scepter to the King and Queen.
There will NOT be an American Legion meeting on Thursday November 8, 2018.

It is hunting season once again and to celebrate a favorite Hill Country pastime, the Mason County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting our annual Wild Game Dinner, Saturday, November 10, 2018.
The doors open at 6:00 PM with a Cooper’s BBQ and wild game dinner being served at 6:30 PM.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars will present the Veterans Day program Saturday, November 10 at 10 AM. Scheduled event is to take place at the Heritage Park, on the flats on the north side of the old Grammar School. Seating will be the rock benches on hillside just north of the school.
St. Joseph’s parishioners invite you and your friends to come enjoy a delicious Mexican Dinner this Sunday, November 4th. Serving will be 11 AM – 2 PM and the location is now St. Joseph’s Hall!
You may “Eat In” and enjoy a relaxing meal or you may drive thru for “Take Out” plates.
Each plate is $10.00 and the meal consists of enchiladas, beans, rice, salad, tea and a dessert.
