We wanted to remind everyone that the Mason County Nutrition Program is hosting a Bake Sale on Friday, November 2nd, at Lowe’s Market from 8am until sold out. Queen’s Coronation will be held this Saturday, November 3rd at 7 p.m. This year’s theme is “A Night in Central Park.” Please join us as we crown this year’s Queens Court voted on by the Mason High School student body. Your purchase of a $10 ticket helps support the Mighty Mason Puncher Band.
Due to the inclement weather last week, the Homecoming bonfire has been moved to Wednesday, November 7th, starting around 6:00 or 6:15 p.m. That will be the last home game of the year; and, that Friday will be the Senior recognition and slideshow pep rally.
The Mason County Cancer Benefit will be hosting their annual Bake Sale Fundraiser, Friday, November 2, 2018, at Weber’s Chevron. We invite you to stop by from 8 a.m. until we run out. Headed to the deer lease? We’ve got the snacks for you, all while supporting a great cause! 90% of the proceeds stay in Mason County to help our community members fighting hard to beat cancer.
Friday night was Mason's Homecoming, and the Punchers gave the hometown fans a decisive victory to go along with all the halftime festivities. In the first quarter of the game, Mason quickly and easily set the tone of the game. Just a few minutes into the game, Chandler Buntyn made the first score on a 51-yard run.
Mason ISD is accepting nominations for the Gifted and Talented program. All nominations are due by 3:30 p.m. this Friday, November 2. If you would like to nominate your child for the Gifted and Talented program, please go to Mason Elementary/Junior High for the necessary paperwork. The Mason Youth Football team is heading to the super bowl in Llano, Texas this Saturday at 12 p.m. where they will take on Llano's team for the ultimate prize!... Please everyone come out and support these little guys ..we will need all the cheers from Mason since we are on Llanos home turf!
Storytime is held Mondays at 10:30 a.m. in the Kid’s Zone of the Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library. Children ages 2-6 are welcome and should be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Weekly stories are led by Carol Lampman, an elementary school teacher specializing in early childhood development. Join us Monday, October 29, for a treat as we enjoy a surprise Halloween story and craft activity.
After a long and stressful week of flooding, both the communities of Junction and Mason were ready for the escapism of some Friday night football. Though the Eagles would lose 41-7, the score doesn't reflect the good game that the Junction team played on Friday night. Junction took the opening kickoff, but the Puncher defense would establish their dominance early.
