Any incoming 7th and 8th grade football players can come get football equipment for the upcoming season at the JH gym August 14th from 5-6pm. If you are unable to make it at that time, equipment will be issued on the first day of school.

Clinton Durst passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019, in Fredericksburg, Texas at the age of 92 years.
He was born and grew up in the Fly Gap Community. In 1944 he graduated from Mason High School and immediately upon graduation enlisted in the U.S. Air Corps. He was on a boat bound for Japan when the Armistice was signed.
Phillip T. Schmidt, born July 31, 1937, in Mason, Texas, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 16 in Georgetown, just shy of his eighty-second birthday.
Phillip’s career included over thirty years as a cartographer with the Texas Department of Transportation. He built a comfortable life for his family in Austin before moving to Georgetown in 1987.
Mr. Elgin Lewis Dodd of Tow and Fredericksburg passed away on May 27, 2019, at the age of 74 due to complications from an ongoing battle with kidney disease.
Known by many as Lewis, Elgin, Sonny, Lil’ Brother, Red, Mr. Dodd, Uncle Sonny or Uncle Elgin, Grandpa, Mr. Dodd, or simply as Dad, he leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.
He was born on August 12, 1944, in Buck Hollow, Texas, to Edgar Alton Dodd and Lillian Louise Gifford Dodd.

Mason, Texas- Mason County Habitat for Humanity will hold an open meeting on Tuesday, August 6th at 6 pm at the Eckert Civic Center to review the process of applying for a Habitat home in Mason. All persons considering applying this year should attend. Habitat for Humanity representatives will be explaining the application process, what is required of the applicant, the timing for getting your information completed and the expectations for when a homebuyer will be selected and notified.
