The Nature Conservancy is pleased to announce that the Eckert James River Bat Cave Preserve will open for select nightly viewings this summer, so that visitors can enjoy this unparalleled natural display and long-standing Mason county tradition.
The preserve will be open to the public on July 13th, 20th and 27th, as well as Aug.
The members of American Legion Fort Mason Post #285 & Ladies Auxiliary invite other veterans, friends and family, and anyone interested in the American Legion to attend our regular monthly meeting to be held at 6:30 pm Thursday July11, 2019 at the American Legion Post Hall on Post Hill Road (behind the Jail).

In June, children found out at the library why Da Da Squirrel loves Little Squirrel and what wide-mouth frogs like to eat, along with what likes to eat wide-mouth frogs! It’s frightening enough to make a wide-mouth frog pretend to have a very tiny mouth! Kids surprised their fathers with personal rock portraits of Dad because “Dads Rock.” They also made Wide-Mouth Frog puppets complete with a fly to eat.

Each year the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association hosts the Lone Star International Wine Competition (LSIWC). This year twenty-five judges, primarily from the retail and distribution tier of the wine industry, participated in the blind judging on June 3-4, 2019 in historic Grapevine, Texas, centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth.
