Beryl Harris, better known as simply “Cowboy” went to his heavenly home April 26, 2019. Cowboy was born July 25, 1943 in Clyde Texas. Beryl was born to be a cowboy and true to his calling, he spent the first 20 years of his adult life as a “Cowboy” for Swenson Land and Cattle company of Stamford Texas.
Doris Henderson, born March 12, 1926, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 22, 2019, she was 93. Doris grew up in San Angelo, she was an amazing daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Doris never met a stranger, always smiling and sharing kind words and was still a very active member within her church and community.
Joe Thomas “Tom” Wallace passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019, in Fredericksburg, Texas, at age 66. Tom is survived by his wife of 38 years, Becky Wehmeyer Wallace of Fredericksburg; three sons and their spouses, Jamie and Dustin Kramer of The Woodlands, Jessica and Thomas Cullen Wallace of Houston, Jourdy and Bryson Wallace of Dallas, and seven grandchildren.
John “Johnny” or “JD” Douglas Lucas, 72, of Buchanan Dam, Texas passed away surrounded by his family Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Johnny was born in Llano on October 28, 1946 to John Wesley Lucas and Olga Dahl Lucas. Johnny attended Llano High School and served in the United States Army from 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1971.
Frank Edward Otto, age 89, passed away peacefully April 19, 2019. Frank was born April 28, 1929 in Castell, TX to Amanda and August Otto. He was the middle child, having 3 older and 4 younger siblings. Frank proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine in the Korean War. Frank married Marian Holcomb Dec.
Catherine “Diane” Kilman passed away on Wednesday April 3, 2019 in Carrollton, Texas. Diane was one of the most selfless, giving person to all who knew and loved her. She was “Memaw” to her 4 grandchildren whom she loved and treasured dearly. She loved to crochet, cross-stitch, complete word-searches, cook and spend time with her family.
Nancy Rae McCabe passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 in Lakeway, Texas at the age of 75. She was born on December 21, 1943 to Cecil Standard and Lora (Russell) Standard in McCamey, Texas. Nancy is preceded by her parents and son, Cecil Bert McCabe. She is survived by her husband, Billy Bert McCabe; sons, Rusty McCabe, Kevin McCabe and Randy McCabe; sisters, Annette Alexander, Barbara Hendricks and Marcie Phillips; and 4 grandchildren. John Harold Schuessler, son of John Herman and Ida Wilhelmina Jordan Schuessler, was born on February 24, 1925 and died on April 15, 2019. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, 4 sisters--Frances Mae Schuessler Schmidt, Johnita Pearl Schuessler Bohmfalk, Ruth Alice Schuessler, Virginia Marie Schuessler and 1 granddaughter. John spent his life as a rancher in Mason County on the Llano River near Castell with his wife of 73 years, Dorothy Bauer Schuessler.
Kathy Ann Light passed away at her home in Tow, Texas with her family at her side on Friday, April 12, 2019. She was the eldest of four sisters and was born on December 26, 1954 to Jerry and Molly Cannon of Odessa, Texas. Kathy graduated from Odessa High School in 1973.
George Franklin Stiefel, 73, of Cherokee, Texas, passed away on April 11, 2019. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., April 17 at Cherokee Church of Christ. Doug Suggs of Cherokee Church of Christ will be officiating. Visitation immediately following the service at the Church of Christ Annex. George was born in Aiken County Hospital, Aiken, South Carolina on December 7, 1945.
