HILL COUNTRY, Texas - The premier housing event of the year, the Hill Country Builders Association (HCBA) 2019 Prestigious Parade Home Tour, will take place the second and third weekends in October, showcasing twelve of the Hill Country’s most celebrated home builders. By Jerry Gass, Rotary Club of Blanco County Polio is a paralyzing and potentially fatal disease that still threatens children in some parts of the world. The polio virus invades the nervous system and can cause total paralysis in hours. While it can strike people of any age, it mainly affects children under five.
Judge Brett Bray called the special meeting of the Commissioners Court to order at 9:02 a.m. and all four commissioners were present. The second public hearing on the proposed budget took place after the Pledge of Allegiance. Judge Bray pointed out that a second public hearing on the budget was not required but the proposed tax rate did require two public hearings. Terry Casparis voiced his concerns over the early voting poll sites.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will conduct a Multi-County Wildlife Field Day on Tuesday, September 17 at Heart of Texas Whitetails, at 755 Private Road 922 in Brady.
