Fort Worth, Texas – Members from the Johnson City FFA chapter attended the 91st annual Texas FFA State Convention held July 15-19 in Fort Worth.
Johnson City FFA members who attended the convention were: David Gravell, Willow Grote, Ethan Jones, Westin Perrenoud, Shelby Perrenoud, Logan Sadler, Brett Sultemeier, and Rylee Welch.
The Blanco County Commissioners Court was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Judge Brett Bray. All four commissioners were present: Tommy Weir, Emil Uecker, Chris Liesmann, and Paul Granberg.

JCISD high school student Brinley Portie addressed the Board in Public Forum regarding the dress code with particular attention to hair length and facial hair. Portie asked the Board to consider providing overall fairness to JCISD students.
