With less than 80 days until Christmas, Santa’s helpers are already busy in Johnson City preparing for the 30th year of the Hill Country Night Spectacular. JOHNSON CITY—The Blanco County Unit of the League of Women Voters - Hill Country Texas is sponsoring a Candidate Forum for the Blanco County North District Library Board. Scheduled for Saturday, October 19th from 11:00am to 12:30pm, the forum location is the Blanco County Annex - Hoppe Room at 101 East Cypress in Johnson City.
With just a few months left until the magic of Christmas lights up the Texas Hill Country, it was announced on September 26 that the Hill Country Christmas Lights Drive-Thru display will be returning to Johnson City, TX (known last season as “A Lone Star Christmas.”) This privately owned and funded drive-thru Christmas light display is the the largest and only free-of-charge drive-thru Christmas light display in the Hill Country.

Johnson City—Students from LBJ High School, Middle School and Elementary School will join thousands of other youth on athletic fields across the nation on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, to share their Christian faith with fellow students during the 16th annual national Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ (FCA, www.fca.org) Fields of Faith event.
Johnson City Woman’s Civic Club celebrated the beginning of the new club year on September 23 at The 290 Vinery. President Norma Honeycutt welcomed old and new members. Hostesses Ellen Mauldin, Ingrid Moursund, Theogenia Marks, Charlotte Matthews and Joycelyn Carter served an array of refreshments. The program for the evening was presented by Sarah Ramos and Elaine Waddill from OLLI in Marble Falls.
