The Commissioners Court Special meeting was called to order by Judge Brett Bray at 9 a.m. All four commissioners:Tommy Weir, Emil Uecker, Chris Liesmann, and Paul Granberg were present for the meeting. Public comments took place first. Minutes from the previous meeting were approved. Next, the four line item transfers were discussed and approved.
The regular meeting of the Blanco County Commissioners Court was called to order at 9 a.m. by Judge Brett Bray. Commissioners: Tommy Weir, Emil Uecker, Chris Liesmann, and Paul Granberg were present. Public comments have been moved to the beginning of the agenda and comments were limited to three minutes.
A win on the road in District 25-3A Volleyball is hard to come by and the Lady Eagles Varsity got a big one last Tuesday when they rolled into Lago Vista and rolled back out with a four-set victory. Lago Vista took the advantage early winning the first set 21-25 and seemed poised to take Set 2 as they put together a 4-point run at 21-19 to take a 21-23 lead.
JCISD held a Regular Board Meeting on September 9, 2019. Board President Shelly Wenmohs called the meeting to order at 6 pm. Former Trustee Kip Thompson gave the Invocation. On Saturday, Sept. 14, the 1st Annual Brews and Cruise Car Show was held in Johnson City, and the cars on display were hotter than the weather. City of Johnson City City Council held a Regular Meeting on September 10, 2019. Mayor Rhonda Stell called the Executive Session to order at 5 pm to interview candidates and deliberate the employment of a Public Works Director. After resuming Open Session, the City Council approved motion from Council Member Clayton Young and second by Council Member Gayla Guthrie to hire Brent Sultemeier as the Public Works Director with a six month probationary period.
