The Blanco Lady Panther volleyball camp was held July 26-28. The camp was divided into two sessions with incoming third through sixth graders attending from 8-10 a.m. and incoming seventh through ninth graders attending from 10 a.m. to noon. Coach Jane Karnes was assisted by upperclassmen and coaches Charlie Stavlo, Michelle Davis and Alex Uberroth.
The Blanco 14U baseball team finished second, behind the Northwest Team, at the Directors Tournament held last month in Austin. They were undefeated at and won the 2021 Pony South Zone Sectional Championship Tournament. That tournament was held on June 19-20 in San Marcos. The team will be playing in Youngsville, Louisiana, July 27-31, in the Pony South Zone Championship Tournament.
The Blanco 12U baseball teams is headed to the zone tournament. The team will play at zone at Deer Park near Houston on July 20. They finished second in the regional tournament last weekend.

Members of the Blanco baseball team received multiple post-season awards including all-district and all-state academic honors. The Panthers finished the 2021 season with a 25-6 overall record.
Senior Baylor Smith was named Co-MVP of District 25-3A for his outstanding play at third base and outstanding hitting. Smith hit .352 on the season with nine singles, four doubles, three triples and three home runs.
The BHS senior and junior classes battle in the Powder Puff football game Thursday, May 27. The junior team wore pink and the seniors wore blue. The teams were coached by classmates. Both teams scored touchdowns. And no matter who scored more touchdowns, the seniors won. The seniors always win.
Results of the 2021 District 10 4-H Spring Roundup competitions were released recently, with 28 Blanco County 4-H members placing.
In the Junior Share-the-Fun Musical/Instrumental category, Liberty Lemanski placed first playing Budapesto on cello and Autumn Vitallero placed second playing The First Noel on guitar. In the Intermediate Share-the-Fun Musical/Instrumental category, Willow Lemanski placed third playing Huber’s Concertino on violin.

The Blanco softball team received outstanding recognition in the District 25-3A All-District awards at the conclusion of the season in May. Blanco was undefeated, 8-0, in district play.
Junior shortstop Jaycie Gloor was named district MVP. Gloor had a .500 batting average in district, including nine singles, two doubles, one triple and 15 RBI.
