Beverly Anne Burris, 71, returned to her heavenly home on Oct. 30, 2020 after a valiant long battle with cancer. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in Jesus supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Beverly was born to the late John J. Mazurek and late Frances E.
Will Marasek was born on Feb. 9,1953 in Houston, to Willie Marasek Sr. and Peggyann Marasek. He passed peacefully away surrounded by his family on Oct. 30, 2020.
Will was raised in Bellaire and graduated from Bellaire High School. He then went on to graduate from Southwest Texas State University. While at SWT, he became a runner for University Savings Bank, and after graduating college, he moved back to Houston and continued working for University Savings.
Charles Allen Bendele of Hye passed away from colon cancer Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 at his home.
He was born April 30, 1943 in Abilene, to the late Henry George and Bonnie (née Schroeder) of Blanco, while his father was in officer training during World War II. He was a 1961 graduate of Blanco High School.
A memorial for Tony Vela, former educator and councilman, is planned for Nov. 7, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. The gathering will be in the pavilion at Yett Park. Desserts and refreshments will be served.
As required by Blanco County and the City of Blanco, COVID-19 19 guidelines will be followed. Masks and social distancing will be required.

Morris (Bud) Baxter Evans, 80, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020. Bud was born on Aug. 28, 1940, in Blanco.
Bud was proceeded in death by his parents, Ray and Lela (Dyer) Evans.
Bud is survived by his son Bart Evans and wife Cobie of Hye; daughter Dené (Evans) Bertram and husband Jeff of Austin; step-son James Sierra and wife Amy of Blanco; sisters Beth and Judy Evans; and brother Roger Evans.

Robert (Bob) H. Dorsett passed away at his home on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020. Bob was born June 27, 1931 in Lawton, Okla., to James and Nora Dorsett.
Bob served proudly in the U.S. Air Force. He joined in 1951 at the age of 19 and was stationed in Chateau Roux France until 1953 when he returned home.

Anna Lee Slaughter Smith, 86, of Blanco, passed away at her home in Blanco Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020. Anna was born Aug. 1, 1934 in Loraine, Texas to Clyde C. Slaughter and Mabel Lynette (Lee) Slaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Clyde Slaughter, and sister, Lynda Jane Case.
Jimmy Dale Carter, 82, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 at his home in Blanco. Jimmy was born March 5, 1938 in Wichita Falls, to Henry and Estell (Knowles) Carter.

The Honorable Reverend Hilmar J. Flugrath ascended to Heaven Oct. 16, 2020. Rev. Flugrath was born June 19, 1932, in New Braunfels, at the home behind Handy Corner.
