Phillip Dale Hartmann, age 65 of San Antonio and Blanco, passed away Dec. 23, 2020. Phillip was born in San Antonio on Aug. 9, 1955 to Francis and Gertrude Hartmann. Phil attended Churchill High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Texas State University.
Phil had a long career and retired from USAA, and was the long-standing president of Hermann Sons Lodge at Twin Sisters.
On Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, Bobbie Lois Abbott, loving wife, sister, aunt and friend, passed away at the age of 84. Bobbie was born June 2, 1936, in Refugio, to Bob and Eleanor Jenkins. She was a graduate of Refugio High School, and married Russell Sparks Abbott on April 19, 1957.
Joy Lee Wolf passed away Dec. 3, 2020 in Fredericksburg, at the age of 82 from complications of Parkinson disease. She was born Oct. 6, 1938 in Blanco, to Clifford and Emma Lee Johnson.
Joy worked at the Blanco Elementary School for many years. In her younger years, she won the Miss Clute contest, which she was very proud of.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, CB Wolf; two sons, Clifford and Charles; a daughter, Candy; a sister, June Fuchs; and a brother, Paul Johnson. ...
Georgia was born in Johnson City on July 27, 1929 to Alvie and Mary Kennedy.
Georgia was a very caring and hard-working woman who always had more energy than us. She also loved to travel and took us with her when we could. She could grow anything and loved flowers. She was one of the first employees to work at Horseshoe Bay Resort and continued for 27 years.
She will be greatly missed by anyone who knew her.

Gary Michael Granberg, age 87, passed away in the early hours of Friday, Nov. 6, 2020 in Fredericksburg. A long time resident of both San Antonio and Blanco, he was born June 19, 1933 in San Antonio to Gunnar and Evelyn Granberg.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Alexander Granberg; and his son, Bruce Michael Granberg.
In connection with Gary’s wishes, private interment took place Dec.
Ruth “Nina” Reeves (Cravatt) joined Jesus and her husband of 60 years, on Nov. 23, 2020 for a Thanksgiving reunion celebration.
Ruth was born Oct. 15, 1925 in Blanco to Eula May and Robert Samuel Cravatt. She graduated Blanco High School and loved to watch her family grow. Her happiest time in her later years was watching television with Katherine (Reeves) and just being together.
Jay Roger Danz, age 83 and U.S. Army veteran, passed peacefully at his home in Johnson City in the morning hours of Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020. He was born to Jay Danz and Lucy Maude Felps Danz on Aug. 18, 1937 in a house on the banks of McCall Creek, in Blanco County.
Imogene Ednamilda Triesch Wagner “Nanny,” of Blanco, was called home on Nov. 20, 2020, at the young age of 91. Imogene was the second of nine children born to Eugene and Roena Triesch, on Sept. 18, 1929 in Blanco.
Imogene lived a long and wonderful life full of wisdom, a fierce love for family and faith, and a long legacy that will stay in the mind of those who love her for years to come.
Ronald James “Pete” Liesmann was born on April 27, 1955 in Blanco, in the old courthouse when it was a hospital, to Jerome Liesmann and Vera Waugh Liesmann. He married Debbie Schmidt on Sept. 21, 1974 and they made Johnson City their home. At the age of 65, Pete died peacefully in his home surrounded by friends and family on Friday, Oct.
Our “Longhorn”, William “Bill” Henry Mayer Jr passed away at his family ranch in Blanco on Oct. 29, 2020. He was the son of Lt. Col. William H. and Anita Richards Mayer.
Bill graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in 1959, and graduated in 1965 from the University of Texas, Austin (bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering).
