Earl Oliver Perkins of Blanco passed away at his home the morning of Wednesday, March 24, 2021 with his family by his side. Earl was born Sept. 23, 1937 in Beeville, to James Perkins and Edna Criddle Perkins. Mr. Perkins retired as a master sergeant after 20 years of dedicated service to the U.
Carole Grace Koenig Baker, age 75, died in her home surrounded by family on March 25, 2021, after battling lung cancer. A graveside service will be held at the family cemetery on the Baker Ranch at 1114 Madrone Trail, Blanco, Texas, 78606, at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021. A meal of Italian food, (Carole’s favorite) will be served following the service. Carole was born August 29, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois to Warren Eli Albert Koenig and Josephine Carolyn Laprezioso Koenig.
1953-2021
Vernon Dale Hart, age 67 of Blanco, formerly of Seguin, passed away on March 6, 2021. Dale was born on June 13, 1953 in Baytown, Texas. He attended Baytown Sterling High School. While working at SMI in Seguin he was offered a chance to get his GED. He graduated 3 days before his oldest son from Seguin High School.
Mary Ethel Sparkman Weirich, 74 of Johnson City went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 20, 2021. She passed away peacefully with husband and daughter by her side. She was born to the late Sidney and Voyle Sparkman on Feb. 13, 1947, in Beeville. Mary graduated from George West High School and received a bachelor of music education degree from Baylor University. Clifford Steve Vradenburg of Canyon Lake passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 in San Antonio. Steve was born Feb. 7, 1941 in San Antonio, to Clifford H. Vradenburg and Violet D. Bookout Vradenburg. Following high school graduation, Steve became an electrician for the local No. 60 in San Antonio. He enjoyed the outdoors.
Joyce Lee Knoll, 81, passed away peacefully the morning of March 9, 2021 in her home in Blanco. She was born to Marion and Sybil Lee on Jan. 30, 1940 and later attended high school at Austin High in Austin. She led what seemed to be a fast-paced life and wore many hats which included bank teller, insurance secretary, cashier, Navy wife, truck driver, Ome, and her most important role, Mother.
James Roger Beasley, 77, passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 16, 2021 after a lengthy illness. Roger was born in Aransas Pass, but grew up in Rockport, a coastal town he remained close to for the rest of his life. Growing up on the Texas coast gave him his love of the sea.
It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Jose Rafael Serrano Rico. He was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 2:50 p.m. on Feb. 18, 2021, at the blessed age of 91. He is reunited in heaven with his parents, Francisco Serrano and Audelia Rico, his siblings Consuelo Serrano and Asuncion Serrano, and his children Rogelio Serrano, Lucina Serrano, and Santos Serrano. Jose was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on Nov.
Mary Nancy Champion of Blanco peacefully passed away on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, at the LBJ Medical Center nursing home in Johnson City. She was called to her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after battling complications from Covid-19. She was surrounded by the amazing and loving staff at LBJ, and was comforted in the days and weeks prior by the presence of her family and countless prayers of those who knew and loved her. Eddye Beth Grist Struck, 79, of Spring Branch, went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2021. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 10 at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in The Rev. Brion Zarsky will officiate. Interment services will be held Tuesday, April 6, at 11 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Mrs.
