Diane Louise Stidhem went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday June 24, 2021 at the age of 74. She was born Aug. 19, 1946 in San Antonio, to Hubert and Verna “Millie” Lumpkin. Diane was preceded in death by her parents and sister, JoAnn Urguhart. James F. Watson from Blanco passed away on June 13,2021 after a long illness. He was 78. James was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas when he was 7 years old. He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1961. James showed an early talent for music during his school years, learning to play the violin, guitar and piano.
Mr. Greg Schumann of Albert passed away on Saturday, June 19, at the age of 62 years. Marlin Gregory “Greg” Schumann was born on March 30, 1959 in Blanco, to Marlin Rudy and Johnnie Mae Kneupper Schumann. Clifton Eugene Tyler was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Nov. 16, 1933, the youngest of six. He died April 15, 2021. He attended LSU in Baton Rouge and was also proud to have served in the United States Marine Corps as a young man. In later years, he was a dedicated member of the Catholic Church. Gary Blake Savage Sr. went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2021. He was born in Pearsall on July 27, 1948. He passed at his home in Blanco, surrounded by his wife and family. Gary grew up and attended school in Natalia, where he worked in the grocery business with his family.
Gerald Bruce Hostetler (Jerry), 88, enjoyed his evening meal, said goodnight, got into bed, and closed his eyes for the last time on Monday, May 31, 2021. Jerry was a kind, loving, and patient father, grandfather, husband, and friend. Jerry was also caring, loyal, understanding and committed to his family. He never hesitated to roll up his sleeves and pitch in to help a friend or neighbor in need.
Laura Lindeman Caza was born on March 21, 1939, to Alton and Lorene Lindeman at their family ranch in Blanco. She went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 12, 2021. Her life was devoted to her family and her faith. Laura was raised in Blanco where she lived with her parents, two sisters and twin brothers.
On Monday, May 31, 2021, Lois Neill Ewald (Sis), loving wife, and dedicated mother of three children, passed away at the age of 79. Lois was born on February 21, 1942, in Blanco, Texas to Viola and Thomas Neill. She was the Valedictorian of Blanco high school as well as an active member in Future Homemakers of America (FHA), student council, a band majorette, baton twirler and held the prestigious honor of Miss Panther Band.
Richard K. Higgins, 74, of Blanco, Texas passed away on Friday May 28, 2021 at the hospital in Austin, Texas. He was born on December 8th, 1946, in Erwin, Tennessee, son of Charlie and Edith Higgins. Richard served in the Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam war. After his service in the Army he attended and graduated from Otero Junior College, La Junta, CO in 1972 with an Associates in Arts degree.
Teresa Kay Leonard, 64, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. She is well now, mentally and physically, and is with her loving parents. Teresa was born on December 4, 1956, in Corpus Christi.
