Alpine, Texas – (March 17, 2020) The Brewster County Tourism Council and Visit Big Bend have received notice that Big Bend National Park will be initiating several closures and staffing changes effective March 17th due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Though most refer to him as Terry Fagerstrom, I prefer to call him The Collector. He owns an eclectic event venue called That Joint in Spicewood, built inside a historic post office from the 1910 era. The post office has since closed and now its walls display a diverse collection of items that Terry has accumulated over the past 47 years. Inside one of the rooms is an indoor stage made from a cypress cistern bottom.

The first weekend of April is booked solid in Llano with the 16th Annual Chuck Wagon Cook-Off and the 43rd Llano Fiddle Festival. On Friday morning, April 3, students from Llano Elementary, Packsaddle, and Llano Christian Academy will make their yearly trip to Badu Park to learn about life in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park and Hill Country Astronomers (HCA) invite you to attend free planetarium and dark sky programs and a star party at the LBJ Ranch on Saturday, March 14. Stonewall, Texas – March 4, 2020 – Kuhlman Cellars will host a Vina Vita University “Barrel to Blend” wine blending class on March 22, 2020 from 11 am – 1 pm. This installment of Kuhlman Cellars’ wine appreciation series, led by Kuhlman Cellars’ winemaker Bénédicte Rhyne, will teach the art and science of wine blending.
