• Cross Mountain Park

Many consider this to be a sacred place to reflect, pray and meditate. Park along the side of the road and walk up to the cross. Pets are welcome, and there are a few picnic tables as well. The elevation is over 1900 feet. This park is a drive out towards the outskirts of Fredericksburg, and has a historical marker with the history of the location dating back to the early settlers.

This park is located inside Lady Bird Johnson Park. There are many types of wildlife that can be observed here. If you are an avid birdwatcher, you can check off many birds here, like the painted bunting or green kingfisher.
The trails are free to hike, and maps are available at the park headquarters.

• Marktplatz
