Science museum open over holiday break with family activities and shopping

Nov. 16, 2020—Johnson City, TX—This Thanksgiving Week, the Science Mill is serving up science fun for the whole family! The nonprofit science museum will be open Thursday, Nov. 19-Sunday, Nov. 29, except for Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 26). Find the full schedule of activities at sciencemill.org. On Nov. 23, 24 and 25, the museum will be offering special “STEM-Giving” activity stations both outdoors and inside, with space to celebrate together safely.

COMFORT, TEXAS…Christmas in Comfort, one of the area’s most popular holiday events, will draw visitors to the Texas Hill Country for holiday shopping and family fun on November 28, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Now in its 34th year, Christmas in Comfort offers more than 80 vendors and a full day of holiday activities from 10 a.m.

The Brewster County Tourism Council and Visit Big Bend have received notice from the National Park Service that they have increased their public access areas in Big Bend National Park to include the eastern park road to Rio Grande Village. With the eastern end of the park reopening, trails including the Boquillas Canyon trail will now be available for day use.
