Deeply Rooted is a collaborative exhibition of etched encaustic botanicals by Jeannette MacDougall and collagraph prints by Mike Martin. The artists have reached deep into their respective familial soils and uprooted personal stories symbolically grafted onto finely illustrated branches, roots and trees. Through processes of layering, imprinting and excavation, MacDougall and Martin weave together private and universal iconography that invites the viewer to contemplate their own personal growth and roots.
